Walking tour in Florence

If you are in Florence for the first time, the city walk is the best way to get an introduction to the history of the town, its foundation under the Roman Empire, its growth during the Middle Ages and its flourishing during the Renaissance.

While walking through the streets of the city we can admire some of the greatest masterpieces of the Florentine art such as the façade of Santa Maria Novella church by Leon Battista Alberti, the Perseus by Benvenuto Cellini or the Rape of the Sabine Women by Giambologna.

On our walk we will visit some of the most iconic spots, like the famous Ponte Vecchio. You will not only take some great pictures, but you will also discover the history of these places, their relationship with the city and its inhabitants.

The walk will bring us through the most important city squares and inside some of the most iconic monuments. If you want, we can also add a ‘tasty stop’ where your taste buds will tingle, or a bit of shopping.

Accessibility:

This tour is wheelchair friendly, however, the streets of Florence are sometimes uneven or bumpy, which can render movement more difficult.
