Here are some ideas to start with:
There isn’t one correct way how to discover art in Florence: it all depends on what really interests you and what you want to learn more about.
For example, some people prefer to avoid the crowds and they enjoy visiting less popular and more intimate museums, where they can calmly admire lesser-known but still fascinating artworks.
Others, instead, want to see the masterpieces in the most famous museums, such as the Uffizi or the Accademia Gallery.
For this reason, when we build your itinerary together, I will guide you step by step in your choice. You will only have to tell me whether you prefer to discover the hidden details in the lesser-known convents and churches, or if you want to admire the most famous works of art in Florence.
If you want to discover the most famous works of art in Florence the Uffizi and the Accademia Gallery are two must-see sites for you.
At the Uffizi you can admire the masterpieces of the Renaissance, such as the Birth of Venus and the Primavera by Botticelli, the paintings by Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael.
At the Accademia Gallery, instead, you will find Michelangelo’s David, one of the most iconic sculptures in the world. But not only that. The museum houses also Michelangelo’s unfinished Prisoners which testify master’s creativity.
Florence is home to so many works of art that you can easily build a 2 or 3-day itinerary without ever seeing the same site twice. It all depends on how much time you have available and how deep you want to delve.
The largest museums, such as the Uffizi or the Pitti Palace, require at least half a day, or about 3 hours of visit.
Other smaller but very rich places, such as the Bargello or Orsanmichele, can be visited in an hour and a half: just enough time to linger on details that often escape a quick glance.
The price includes taxes and contributions required by law, while it does not include entrance tickets to museums, palaces, galleries or churches.
Furthermore, upon request, I can organize tours accessible to people with disabilities: I always want each visit to be inclusive and in line with the needs of all my guests.
Each itinerary with Guide me Florence can be tailor-made: just tell me how much time you have and I will guide you in your choice of the works of art in Florence that are the most in line with your interests.

To best experience the works of art in Florence, there are some tips that can make the difference.
The first piece of advice I would like to give you is to avoid visiting the Uffizi and the Accademia Gallery on Tuesdays: it is the busiest day of the week at the two museums!
If you really want to immerse yourself in art without distractions, I also recommend visiting Florence in the low season, that is, from November to March, when the museums are quiet and the rooms are almost empty.
Another practical tip is to consider purchasing the Firenze Card. It costs €85, is valid for 3 days and can be extended for another 2. The card is very useful because it allows you to access almost all the museums in the city without queues.
