This tour has to be booked well in advance, given scarse disponibility of tickets at the Galleria dell’Accademia. In high season, from April to October, there always is a queue at the entrance to the both museums. It is impossible to skip it.
In the Uffizi Gallery the groups of more than 9 people are required to pay 70,00 € fee for the group reservation.
The price does not include the costs of the museum tickets.
Visit the two most popular museums of Florence on a private guided tour of the Uffizi and Accademia Galleries.
Together we will discover the masterpieces of the Italian painting and admire Michelangelo’s most famous statue, the David.
The visit to the Uffizi Gallery provides a thorough overview of the history of Italian medieval and Renaissance painting, from Cimabue and Giotto to Caravaggio. During our tour we will admire Botticelli, Raphael, Michelangelo and Leonardo’s masterpieces. Thanks to the paintings from the Uffizi collection we will discover several artistic revolutions, such as introduction of oil painting, invention of linear perspective or birth of canvas painting.
After the visit to the Uffizi, we will discover the Accademia Gallery. This museum became worldwide famous when in 1873 Michelangelo’s David was moved here from Piazza della Signoria. A new part of the museum was built, designed on purpose to host the famous statue, and since then the Accademia Gallery became a Michelangelo’s museum.
During our visit you will have the possibility to admire the David in all his magnificence. We will also discover other interesting works exhibited in the Gallery, such as Michelangelo’s Prisons, historical collection of musical instruments, or the beautiful Cassone Adimari.
Please note: The tickets to both museums have to be booked in advance. If you book this tour in high season, a short wait in the reserved queues is unavoidable.
